Maldives, is an island nation in the Indian Ocean which is located in the Maldive Islands and consists of a double chain of twenty-six beautiful atolls and that's make it one of the most visited tourist destinations.
Maldives became independent on July 26, 1965 and officially became a Republic of Maldives and led by Mohammed Waheed Hassan, after three years previously stood as the imperial government.
Republic of Maldives has an area of approximately 298 square kilometers and has been inhabited by about 328,536 people in 2011, with a density of 1,102.5 per square kilometer. The majority of the population is the Maldive native or called Divehi, while the official language used is the Maldives or Dhivehi.
Maldivian population is divided into four ethnic groups, the Sinhalese, DravidiaBangsa Dravidian, Arab, and African. There is only one ethnic minority in this country, the Indian tribe.
As for the location of the reefs Island which surrounding the lagoon is located approximately seven hundred miles southwest of Sri Lanka and India.
The country is well known has many beautiful beaches and underwater scenery which can attracts about seven hundred thousand tourists annually. Meanwhile, the Maldives economy relies on two main sectors, namely tourism and fisheries.
