One of the tourist destinations most visited in the world, Seychelles, which has a very nice beach and most photographed. The most visited beaches are located on the island of La Digue, where the beach has a beautiful pale pink sand. La Digue is one of the 115 components of the archipelago in the Indian Ocean. some 1,500 km east of mainland Africa, northeast of the island of Madagascar. Sand sparkle against the backdrop of granite boulders towering, worn by time and weather. Seychelles also has the turquoise water is relatively shallow and protected from the ocean waves by the reef.



Seychelles has three main islands, namely Mahe, La Digue and Praslin. Mahe Island is the greatest, then Praslin is the second largest, and the last one is La Digue. However, La Digue is not the smallest island, because there are other small islands such as La Felicite, Cousine Island, Curieuse, and Marianne.


Mahé, Seychelles

It is the largest island of the Seychelles, where the size reaches 155 km ² which lying to the east of northern nation. Mahé is also the most visited island among the other islands in the Seychelles. The island was named after Bertrand-François Mahé de La Bourdonnais, a French governor of Mauritius. Where the population of Mahé is about 80,000. It contains the capital city of Victoria and accommodates 90% of the total population of the country.


Praslin

Praslin is the second largest island (38 km²) of the Seychelles, lying 44 km northeast of Mahé. Praslin has a population of around 6,500 people and comprises two administrative districts: Baie Sainte Anne and Grand' Anse (Praslin). The main settlements are the Baie Ste Anne, Anse Volbert and Grand' Anse.



La Digue

Is the third largest inhabited island of the Seychelles, lying east of Praslin and west of Felicite Island. La Digue has a population of about 2,000 people, most of whom live in the west coast villages of La Passe (linked by ferry to Praslin and Mahé) and La Réunion. There is no airport in La Digue, to get there from different countries, we have to fly to Victoria, take the ferry to Praslin and then take another ferry to La Digue. It has an area of ​​10 km ², which makes it relatively easy to travel around on bicycles. La Digue is named after a ship in the fleet of French explorer Marc-Joseph Marion du Fresne, who visited the Seychelles in 1768. (wikipedia)

Where is the Maldives?

As in my previous post about Maldives, Maldives islands is located around 700 miles southwest Sri Lanka and India.

Located in the Indian Ocean, south-west of Trivandrum, India and Sri Lanka east-west (about 1 hour flight from Colombo or Trivandrum). The closest neighbors are India and Sri Lanka.

Maldives, is an island nation in the Indian Ocean which is located in the Maldive Islands and consists of a double chain of twenty-six beautiful atolls and that's make it one of the most visited tourist destinations.

Maldives became independent on July 26, 1965 and officially became a Republic of Maldives and led by Mohammed Waheed Hassan, after three years previously stood as the imperial government.

Republic of Maldives has an area of ​​approximately 298 square kilometers and has been inhabited by about 328,536 people in 2011, with a density of 1,102.5 per square kilometer. The majority of the population is the Maldive native or called Divehi, while the official language used is the Maldives or Dhivehi.

Phi Phi Islands

Phi Phi Islands is one of the most beautiful place in the world, located in Thailand, Asia, between the large island of Phuket and the western Andaman Sea coast of the mainland. Ko Phi Phi Leh became popular in 2000, when the beauty of the land and the water is used as a location for the filming of the British-American movie, The Beach, starring by the great actor, Leonardo DiCaprio.



Phi Phi Islands consist of six small islands, some can be populated and some else can not be inhabited, because the size is too small. Ko Phi Phi Don (the largest and only populated island), Ko Phi Phi Leh (the beach movie location), Ko Mai Phai (bamboo island),


Ko Yung ( is north of Ko Phi Phi Don. The island has a stone beach in the east and small sandy beaches at the foot of the hills. It is teeming with various kinds of colourful coral reefs.), Bida Nok and Bida Nai (two small adjacent limestone karsts to the south of Phi Phi Leh, with near-vertical cliff walls rising from the sea).

Bali is an island and a province of Indonesia, Asia, which has tremendous attraction for the tourists. Kuta beach is one of the most beautiful place in the world. It is also the largest tourist destination in the country and is renowned for its highly developed arts, including traditional and modern dance, sculpture, painting, leather, metalworking, and music. A tourist haven for decades, Bali has seen a further surge in tourist numbers in recent years.



The total area is 5,780.06 km2 with a total population of 4,220,000 in 2012, with the density about 730/km2. The majority of the population is Balinese, and there are about 89% Balinese on the island, and about 92.29% of Balinese are Hinduism. Thus, in Bali there are many Pagoda and historic buildings.

About Bora Bora

Bora Bora or nicknamed as Romantic Island, is one of the most beautiful place in the world. The island inhabited by the French Polynesia or more commonly known as Tahiti, and Bora Bora is one of the most popular tourist destination in the world, famous for its water luxury resorts.

The island has an area of ​​29.3 km2 and surrounded by a lagoon and a barrier reef. There are two peaks in the middle of the island which is formed from the remnants of an extinct volcano, Mount Pahia and Mount Otemanu.



The original name of the island is Pora Pora, or in the Tahitian language means "First Born". Which is believed that in the 18th century the discoverer, Captain Cook was misunderstood and called it Bora Bora, because in Tahitian language there is no 'b' sound.

The main settlement of the island is called Vaitape and located on the west of the main island or across the main channel to the lagoon. According to the census conducted in August 2007, the permanent population of Bora Bora is 8927. The main production of the island is from its sea and coconut trees.
